Allison Brooks Janney was born in the United States. The American actress is well-known for her performances on the stage and on screen. Allison Janney was a regional actress for nearly twenty years before her fame was established for her role as White House Press secretary C.J. Gregg on the popular and highly acclaimed drama on television The West Wing (NBC 1999-2006). Allison Janney was always a late stager.
